Grazing grass is, of course, a very cost effective method of rearing ruminants. However, grass is not a good source of many of the minerals and trace elements sheep need to optimise growth. Grass provides good levels of some trace elements but very poor levels of others.

Whilst a level of growth will be achieved without supplement, in order to ensure sheep are making optimal use of the protein and carbohydrate in grass, they require a number of trace elements in order to convert that feed into productivity.

Sheep that are only marginally deficient will not exhibit obvious symptoms, but when provided with the element that is deficient, without increasing feed intake, they will accelerate performance overnight.

Nutripharm drenches are specially formulated to address all commonly encountered deficiencies, and have been independently proven to improve performance of deficient sheep in both profligacy and weight gain.
